Wind park project Zatric in Kosovo receives environmental permit

The wind energy project Zatric in the municipality of Rahovec in Kosovo, which is being developed by us on behalf of the Swiss company Upwind International I GmbH, has received the definite environmental permit last week.

After having handed in a comprehensive environmental impact assessment to the responsible authorities in summer 2012, the examination of this report has shown that the wind park Zatric is environmentally compatible. The issuing of the environmental permit has now brought the realisation of the wind park considerably closer. Furthermore, we expect to receive the preliminary operation license for this wind park from the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) in Pristina in the next weeks.

The environmental impact assessment was carried out under the assumption that 15 wind turbines of the 3-MW-type with a maximal rotor diameter of 122 m and a maximal hub height of 100 m will be installed. Which turbine type will be installed in the end effect has not been determined yet definitely.
