NEK Umwelttechnik AG

NEK Umwelttechnik AG is an independent engineering and planning company that is headquartered in St. Gallen with branch offices in Zurich, Ghana, Romania, England and Kosovo. The shares of the company are held 100% by private Swiss shareholders.

About us

The company was founded 1989 in St. Gallen by three shareholders as a private company. During 1993, the branch office in Zurich was established, which was developed by the present CEO, Dr. Christoph Kapp.

Currently, we have around 10 people working full-time at both locations, each from a different professional background and job functions.

Internationality

We work both nationally and internationally, employing local people in each overseas location. Through our international offices, we develop our contacts in order to promote local projects.

Several international branches have been opened, among others in England, Ghana, Kosovo and Romania.

Focus

The main focus of our work is in the fields of wind energy, geothermal energy and heating, ventilation and cooling techniques. In addition, we have also a division conducting various drone surveys.

Ayitepa Wind Farm

The Ayitepa Wind Farm is a renewable energy project in Ghana with up to 75 wind turbines and a planned capacity of 225 MW.  The project is developed in close collaboration with Lekela Power.
