Application for operational license for second solar park in Ayitepa, Ghana, handed in

As already communicated previously, the 225 MW Wind Farm Ayitepa will be complemented with two solar parks of 20 MW installed capacity each. After the first of these solar parks having received the Provisional Generation and Wholesale Supply License from the Energy Commisson, we have now recently handed in a corresponding application for the second solar project.

We expect that also this project will receive the license in the coming weeks so that in consequence the further planning work can be done.

Together with the 225 MW wind farm the two solar parks will be connected through our new substation in Sege/Dawa to the new 330 kV WAPP (West African Power Pool) overhead line. While the wind farm will already be producing electricity in 2016, the commissioning of the solar parks is planned for 2017/2018.
