Start of construction of 80 MW wind park in Romania scheduled for the coming months

For our client, the Swiss Holding Company Eolica Dobrogea (Schweiz) AG, we developed several wind farms over recent years totalling 140 MW of power in Mihai Viteazu, Romania. In a first phase, we intend to construct 80 MW, the remaining 60 MW is to be implement at a later stage. All the required construction licences for the first 80 MW were granted in summer 2010.

The project will be built and operated by our clients partner, the Spanish energy company Iberdrola Renovables, S.A.. The contracts for the first phase will be signed during the next few weeks. Construction is scheduled to start in April 2011, and commissioning of the entire park for November of this year.
