NEK UMWELTTECHNIK AG establishes a branch in Kosovo

On the 27th of September 2011 NEK Kosovo was founded in Prishtina. With this step we are building a bridgehead in the Balkan region, which enables us to better cover Kosovo as well as the surrounding countries and offer our services there. NEK Kosovo is a subsidiary in 100% ownership of our parent company in Switzerland.

The background of this new opening is that we have been active in Kosovo for years and have already conducted some comprehensive studies and evaluations in connection with potential sites for wind energy. Next to conducting large scale wind measurement campaigns at various locations in the country, we have in the meantime already begun with the development of specific wind farms at different sites. This requires us to be present with our own company locally.

Our new NEK-branch in Kosovo will be managed by Mr Faton Sadiku, while Mrs Isabel Jaisli will be responsible for Kosovo out of Switzerland.
