Wind farm Mihai Viteazu close to being taken into operation

After the minor delays caused by the extreme weather conditions in this year, the construction works at the 80 MW wind farm Mihai Viteazu have been taken up again.

As of mid-March 2012, a total number of 32 of the 40 planned Gamesa G87 wind turbines have been completely installed. Out of these, already 14 units are connected to the grid and producing electricity.

The project owner, Iberdrola Renewables Romania Srl., planes to conclude the test operation phase of the wind farm by April 2012, so that the definitive commissioning of the 40 machines can take place in May 2012.
