Application for construction permit for Wind Park Cicavica (Kosovo) handed in

After we have already obtained the preliminary construction and operation permits for the two wind projects Zatric and Budakova, which we have been developing for quite some time, we have now handed in the application for the construction permit for our third Kosovo-project to ERO (Energy Regulatory Office).

We refer to the Wind Park Cicavica, which is situated about 25 km north of the airport of Pristina.

At this location, 17 wind turbines of the 2.0 – 3.0 MW class are planned and therefore we have applied for an overall installed capacity of 51 MW. This important step allows us now to go through the next stages in obtaining the definite permit in a professional way and as quickly as possible. Today, we reckon that the project will be fully permitted up to the end of 2015.

At the moment, we are measuring there on an existing GSM-tower with heated instruments as the site reaches an altitude of about 1,000 m.s.l. The results so far show, that we may reckon with a mean wind speed of around 6.5 – 6.8 m/sec at hub height. Next spring, we will also be installing two own 60 m met mast, so that we can verify the results from the previous measurements.
