Wind park projects in Ghana receive provisional operation licenses

After having handed in the applications for the provisional operation licenses for our wind parks in Ghana, we have now received those licenses (Provisional Generation and Wholesale Supply License) for three of our projects from the Energy Commission of the country.

These are the first wind energy projects in Ghana to receive this kind of licence. This underlines the actual pioneer character of our undertakings in Ghana as we have been active in the wind energy sector of this West African country since 1998.

Part of the permitting process is also the recently obtained approval from the District Assembly of the affected region, which by this is giving us the go-ahead for the installation of the wind parks.

This allows us to push forward the detailed planning tasks for the permitted 436 MW of wind energy. We reckon that these projects will be completely permitted for construction within this year.
